If you have never come across Batsford Arboretum, which is located near Moreton-in-Marsh in the Cotsolds, you are in for a treat! This 56 acre arboretum has been established over many years. The centrepiece is the old Batsford House manor nestling in the heart of the estate. This handsome building is constructed over the local honey coloured stone.
There are trees, bushes and shrubs of many varieties and the Arboretum is wonderful to visit at any time of the year. However, in my opinion, simply the best time to go and enjoy the natural habitat is in autumn when the foliage is on the turn as winter approaches. The mass of colour is both vibrant, stunning and beautiful.
My trip to Batsford Arboretum in mid October did not disappoint. The sun shone, the foliage was at its best and you can enjoy some of the many Batsford Arboretum photos here.
