Hidcote Gardens

Hidcote Gardens nestle in the very heart of the most beautiful part of the Cotswolds. Set on high ground with stunning and extensive views, Hidcote Gardens were inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement.

Hidcote Gardens were created by talented American horticulturist, Lawrence Johnston, in the early 1900’s and they survive to this day just as resplendent today as they surely were then. So many of the plants and trees you see growing in the gardens were collected as a result of Lawrence Johnston’s many overseas plant sourcing travels.

As well as the formal gardens, you can easily disappear into the wilderness. And from the boundaries of Hidcote Gardens you can enjoy uninterrupted views over stunning Cotswold countryside. As well as a plethora of flowers, plants and trees, wildlife abounds.
